THE BIG FIVE OF AFRICA

 In leaving the corporate world in 1973 to follow the art profession, I have successfully completed over one hundred unique limited edition and private commissions bronze sculptures.  Recognizing the collectibility demand of African "big game" animals and after extensive research, I decided to sculpt The Big Five of Africa.

Considering the mystery as well as the aura and excitement of African animals, I decided the edition series should center around those considered the largest and most dangerous.  Keeping all subjects as natural as possible, I decided to sculpt all five to the same scale, so that each would relate to the other as in the wild.

The Big Five of Africa are the Elephant, Black Rhinoceros, Cape Buffalo, Lion and Leopard.

Many collectors (hunters, conservationists, art patrons and others) have collected the entire series of five, while others have purchased one or two animals for their collection.
